More Info: Hunger is a reality for 1 in 8 Americans. You may not think you know anyone that is suffering, but millions are. In California alone, nearly 27% of children are food insecure-meaning they don’t know where their meal will come from. Raley’s Food For Families is one of the main givers of food for local food banks. Just one Food for Families bag can provide 18 meals to a hungry family.
Food For Families began as a holiday food drive in 1986 and since then has raised more than $27 million and more than 17 million pounds of food for the needy, as part of the company's long-time commitment to local communities. The legacy of the program continues today, thanks to the support of Raley's customers, colleagues and community partners.
